On Monday, June 5, from 6 to 7:30 pm, Julia Kidd, LICSW, psychotherapist, will offer a free workshop and discussion in an effort to help the community cope with fear, sadness, and anxiety caused by the political climate. According to a press release, Julia will be joined by panelists Kimberly Cartwright, mystic and coach, and Laura Love Denman, health and wellness coach. This program will present a perspective that neither opposes nor supports specific views but offers an alternate way of interpreting the events that are unfolding. It could be called an “evolutionary” perspective, one that offers personal and collective growth. The goal is to assist those who are suffering to see and experience a way of being that can transform feelings of sadness, fear, and anger into compassion, understanding, and inspiration. Each panelist will present strategies from her own practice, and specific tools for bringing peace, calm, and healing into our lives. This workshop will be free of political debate and suggestions of political action. All are welcome. This event is free and open to the public.
