Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) and the Woods Hole Film Festival present “Discover Ocean Science in Woods Hole.” free films and activities during April school vacation week from Monday, April 15 to Friday, April 19. Events include family-friendly screenings in Redfield Auditorium at 45 Water Street in Woods Hole, and hands-on activities in WHOI’s Ocean Science Discovery Center at 15 School St. in Woods Hole.
On Monday, meet a scientist/engineer at the Science Discovery Center. On Tuesday, “Surprise Island” screens at the Redfield Auditorium at 10 am. From 1 to 3 pm, there’s a “Splash Lab” at the Discovery Center. On Wednesday, there’s a learn about marine debris workshop at the discovery center from 10 to 10:30 am. From 1 to 3 pm, there’s another meet a scientist/engineer at the discovery center. On Thursday, the Disocvery Center hosts a story time with Hovey Clifford at 11 am, followed by an art project at 11:30 am. On Friday, the documentary “Spirit of Disocvery will screen at 12 pm.
