Cranes have been demobilized in Woods Hole as the terminal project finishes up work for the summer season. -George Brennan

The waterside construction at the Steamship Authority’s Woods Hole terminal was halted this week, according to an update provided by the SSA. With all three slips now available, the Steamship Authority will dock a freight boat in one of the slips overnight.

Construction will resume after the summer season, according to the update.

Jay Cashman Inc.’s barge crew demobilized the equipment barge and crane so they could be towed back to Quincy. The landside crew helped load the barge equipment on trucks to be hauled offsite. Temporary catwalks were added to a mooring bollard, an anchor point for mooring lines to be fixed in order to secure a vessel.

Lawrence Lynch Corp. continues to backfill the site to the design grade to prepare for paving. That work is expected to be completed next week, according to the update.
