Due to growing concerns about the spread of COVID-19 and, particularly, the Delta variant, M.V. Community Services (MVCS) has postponed Chicken Alley Thrift Shop’s annual Art and Collectibles Sale, which was scheduled for August 15. According to a press release, MVCS postponed the event based on the recommendation of the Vineyard Haven board of health.
An in-person event is tentatively rescheduled for October, and select art and collectible items will be available for purchase in the store and online at chickenalley.org, the release states.
“We are grateful to the Chicken Alley advisory committee, chaired by Liza May, and the Art Sale subcommittee, led by Jeri Dantzig and Peter Marciniak, for their ongoing commitment to Chicken Alley and this event, and we look forward to working together to revamp the Chicken Alley Art and Collectibles Sale 2021,” Barbara Bellissimo, vice president of development, marketing, and communications, said in the release.
