Bunch of Grapes Bookstore will host an author’s event at 7 pm on Friday, Oct. 3, featuring Michael West on his newest book “BUZZD: The Bee Kill Conspiracy.” The evening will include a local honey tasting and a discussion with local beekeeper and boutique honeymaker Monica Miller. According to a press release, “BUZZD tells the story of corporate greed, mercenary killing, and a new agricultural chemical that endangers the Island ecosystem. Afghan war vet and special-ops Marine Sam Hill uncovers the truth about the death of an EPA official, swarmed by killer bees.
