Let the green table continue
To the Editor:
I recently visited the Oak Bluffs dump for recycling and was surprised to hear that the very green free table was no longer to be in existence.
It is true, as well as green, that one person's trash is another's treasure, and in the last few years, I have picked up everything from ironstone dish sets to used sports equipment, to vintage vases. It seems wasteful, especially on this Island, to throw everything away, when there are plenty of folks willing to cart stuff away for free. I hope that the town and the dump will reconsider this decision and allow the green table to continue.
