She cannot know
To the Editor:
I would like to let Heather Goodwin know that I understand her feelings about the duck. However, since she was not there when the duck was killed (or not killed; perhaps he just died), she cannot know that a speeding tourist killed the duck. She cannot know that it was not killed by a local who was speeding, or not speeding either. Please don't blame tourists for this kind of thing without hard evidence. Like it or not, tourism is very necessary for the Island.
