New home for Hospice
Hospice of Martha’s Vineyard has moved its offices to Suite 28 in the Tisbury Marketplace.
Hospice relies completely on community support, without insurance reimbursement, to provide free service “to anyone in need with a life limiting illness, regardless of treatment choice or prognosis,” according to its website www.hospice.vineyard.net.
Those dealing with grief during this holiday season are invited to join bereavement counselor Susan Desmarais on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 5:30 pm in the new Hospice offices. Ms. Desmarais will host an informal gathering to provide compassionate, practical tips with a discussion to follow. For more information about Hospice of Martha’s Vineyard, call 508-693-0189.
Offshore Ale Co plays Santa
On Tuesday, December 4 The Offshore Ale Company restaurant will host a “Giving Back Sack Event” to support the Red Stocking Fund in its drive for hats and gloves for teenagers and unwrapped new toys.
Diners will have a chance to draw from the “give back sack” and receive 50 to 100 percent of the value of their donation as credit towards lunch or dinner. Jeremy Berlin and Eric Johnson will step up the spirit with holiday music from 6 to 8 pm.
