Michael J. Syslo
Michael J. Syslo of Chilmark died suddenly at Tobey Hospital in Wareham on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. He was 60.
Mr. Syslo was an aquatic biologist and lobster specialist with the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries. As the assistant director and later director of the state Lobster Hatchery in Oak Bluffs, he helped raise lobsters and develop testing methods to protect egg bearing lobsters.
A service is being planned at a later date and time to be announced. A full obituary will follow in a later edition of The Times. Arrangements are under the care of the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, Oak Bluffs.
