Lisa and Brent Brown of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of their daughter, Maybeline Anne Brown, on August 4 at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Maybeline weighed 9 pounds, 2 ounces.
Elizabeth D. Guice
Sara and Thomas Guice of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of their daughter, Elizabeth Diane Guice, on August 10 at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Elizabeth weighed 8 pounds.
Truman B. Halby
Ila Briggs Halby and Peter Halby of Lincoln, Vermont, announce the birth of their son, Truman Briggs Halby, on July 30 at their home. Truman weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces. Ms. Halby grew up in Vineyard Haven, and Mr. Halby is a long-time summer resident.
Achievements
Maxwell Martin of Edgartown recently completed 10 months of full-time service in AmeriCorps’ National Civilian Community Corps. NCCC projects support disaster relief, the environment, energy conservation, infrastructure improvement, and urban and rural development.

Lindsay Lamana and Michael Brown
Michael Brown, son of Teri and Bobby Brown of Edgartown, Mass., married Lindsay Lamana, daughter of Jayne and Mike Lamana of Carmel, N.Y., July 31, 2010. The couple were married at the Brown’s family home in Edgartown. They enjoyed a beautiful weekend with family and friends, and a festive pig roast.
Alannah Ledford and Corey Dechaine
Alannah (Laney) Ledford, daughter of Kelly Wheeler of Pocasset, Mass., will marry Corey Dechaine, son of Kenneth Yelle of Fall River, on September 3, 2010. The couple will be married in the same church where the bride’s parents wed.
