A story published on November 10, headlined “FY12 MVC budget stings Edgartown,” reported incorrectly that the $25,700 added to the budget last year to insulate employees from a change made in the share they were required to contribute to pay for health insurance premiums was a one-time addition. It was a permanent adjustment.
Also, the correct FY 2011 town assessments are: Aquinnah $29,539; Chilmark $120,146; Edgartown $286,829; Gosnold $6,870; Oak Bluffs $118,757; Tisbury $118,721; and West Tisbury $113,264.
A critical word, “not,” was omitted from the last line of Julian Robinson’s November 10 Vineyard Verses. It should have read: “Let’s hope funding is not ‘catch-as-catch-can,’ and we’ll soon see a start on a permanent span.”
A story published in the November 4 Health and Fitness pages, “Open wide: Three new dentists’ offices,” incorrectly reported that Dr. Bruce Golden is the Island’s only pediatric dentist. Dr. Hugo D’Ambrosio also practices pediatric dentistry.
