Eight Vineyard youngsters ran in the Mass State Middle School Cross Country Meet, last week in Tewksbury, with the following results.
In the 5/6 girls race, Rose Engler of Oak Bluffs finished in 19th place at 12:03. Rose Capobianco of West Tisbury was 75th at 13:30, Maggie Mayhew of West Tisbury finished 104th in 14:16 and Lila Norris of West Tisbury was 114th at 14:37.

In the 7th grade girls race (124 girls), Whitney Schroeder of West Tisbury came in 26th in 12:27. Madison McBride of West Tisbury was 31st in 12:37, Natalia Lakis of Oak Bluffs finished in 13:15 and was 47th.
In the 7th grade boys race, Louis Neville of West Tisbury was 121st (of 176) in 13:15.
