In keeping with an annual tradition, the Rev. Alden Besse went to Windemere late last month to bless several pets who are occasional companions of the residents at the long-term care and rehab center. The event was initially scheduled to concur with St. Francis Day early in October, but scheduling has become a bit creative over the years.

Five dogs and one cat took part in the ceremony. The canines were Cody, Trixie, River, Tillo, and Reggie. Priddy was the lone feline.
