U.S. Congressman William Keating plans a full day of public events for a scheduled visit to Martha’s Vineyard on Monday, January 9. The day will end with a town hall style meeting where State Senator Dan Wolf and State Rep. Tim Madden will join the Congressman.
According to the 10th district congressman’s office, he will begin the day on the 9:30 am Steamship Authority ferry from Woods Hole. He and his staff will take questions from passengers on the voyage to Martha’s Vineyard.
From 12:30 to 1:30 pm, members of Rep. Keating’s staff will be available for questions at the Vineyard Housing Office, 346 State Road in Vineyard Haven.
“This is an opportunity for Island residents to take advantage of the services of the congressman’s office,” communications director Lauren Amendolara said in a statement outlining the schedule.
At 2 pm, Rep. Keating is scheduled to tour the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital.
At 2:45 pm he will meet with local veterans at the American Legion Hall at 34 William Street in Vineyard Haven.
All of the lawmakers who represent Martha’s Vineyard are scheduled to appear at a town meeting style session at the Capawock Theater, Main Street in Vineyard Haven, beginning at 4:30 pm.
“Rep. Keating will be holding an open meeting for all residents to come and discuss issues affecting the Island. State Senator Dan Wolf and State Rep. Tim Madden will also be in attendance,” Ms. Amendolara said.
