To the Editor:
I commend Martha’s Vineyard Hospital and its competent, attentive, and caring staff.
I arrived gasping for breath at the ER and was promptly admitted, late at night. I was immediately surrounded by the staff looking for vital signs, drawing blood, taking a chest X-Ray, providing albuterol and all else necessary to relieve the symptoms. Two hours later, I was resting fairly comfortably and breathing well enough.
I am now back home, on medications which have proved therapeutic. I can’t thank those who attended me enough, more people than I can list. I thank Dr. Lauren Karp for her expertise and the patience to listen to my history and advise me.
