Cambridge Rindge and Latin rallied with four runs in the top half of the seventh inning to beat the Vineyard varsity softball team, 10-7, on Sunday in Oak Bluffs. Sam Robinson had a stellar day for M.V., going 3 for 4 with three RBIs. Emily Turney smacked a two-run homer in the second inning and Mariah Duarte was 2 for 3 with a double.

The girls lost at Falmouth, 9-7, on Tuesday and close out the season Thursday, May 22, at home to Bourne on senior day.

Softball team car wash

Members of the MVRHS softball team will be at the Oak Bluffs School Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm for a car wash to benefit the team’s senior scholarship fund. The cost is $8 per car.
