To the Editor:
It doesn’t come as a surprise to me that someone stole the three flags off my front porch, apparently at night.
Whoever it was, like many others, probably didn’t realize that a flag hung upside down signals distress. It is not a sign of disrespect to the flag.
This theft is merely a harbinger of what awaits us all by the year 2016.
