Fifth week results for the Top Gun competition in which the top juniors on the Island play matches at Vineyard Youth Tennis are: Kelly Klaren defeated Tatiana Ziff, 6-2, 6-3; Lizzie Williamson defeated Spencer Pogue, 6-1, 6-1; Nathaniel Backus defeated Kiric Hallahan, 6-1, 6-4.
In other tennis news, Flatbread Pizza will host a benefit night for Vineyard Youth Tennis on Tuesday, August 5. A portion of all proceeds from dine in or take out will benefit the VYT Scholarship Fund. The restaurant opens at 2 pm.
