At the Edgartown Bridge Club at Howes House on Monday, July 21, 10 tables were in play.  North-South winners were Judy Spruance and Sergio Dechiara, followed by Gerry Averill and Diana Dozier in second, Sandy and Michael Lindheimer in third, and Molly Mattoon and Judy Cronig in fourth. East-West winners were Lee Kleinman and Mary Baker, followed by Louise Marx and Jerri Grannis in second, Joe Ashcroft and Mollie Whalen in third, and Iris Capobianco and Kay Kendall in fourth.

At the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven on Tuesday, July 22, eight tables were in play for a Membership game. Finishing first overall were Deirdre Ling and Ed Russell, followed by Joe Ashcroft and Mollie Whalen in second, Barbara Besse and Sandy Lindheimer in third, Barbara McLagan and Rich Alpert in fourth, and Bea Phear and Nancy Neil in fourth.  Also finishing third in the North-South direction were Cathy Minkiewicz and Simmy Denhart.

At the Island Bridge Club in West Tisbury on Thursday, July 24, 10 tables were in play.  Finishing first in the North-South direction were Ed Russell and Deirdre Ling. Tied for second were Sandy and Michael Lindheimer and Eric Stricoff and John O’Keefe. Fourth place went to Barbara Besse and Miles Jaffe. Finishing first in the East-West direction were Mollie Whalen and Joe Ashcroft, followed by David Donald and Rich Colter in second, Foster Osborne and Hope Whipple in third, and Lou Winkelman and Don Nelson in fourth.

At the Bridge Club of Martha’s Vineyard on Saturday, July 26, 10 tables were in play for a special game honoring Rosemary Taylor, a longtime supporter of bridge on the Island. Funds from the game will be donated to a special fund for bridge education for youth. Finishing first North-South were Mollie Whalen and Joe Ashcroft, followed by Colleen Morris and Paul Howes in second, Story Osborne and Don Nelson in third, and Deirdre Ling and Carol Whitmarsh in fourth. East-West winners were Hester Boxill and Dorothy Brannon, Lee Scott and Bea Phear in second, Brooks Robards and Jim Kaplan in third, and Dorothy Libron-Green and Betty Dixon in fourth.
