Junior tennis player Kelly Klaren, 13, of West Tisbury is the Island’s Top Gun. Kelly defeated Jonathan Wolfe, 6-0, 6-3, to take home the title Monday as the Island’s top junior. Kelly was undefeated in her previous six matches and earned the title by defeating other strong juniors throughout the Island. Kelly still has a year left before she goes on to the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School.
The results for Monday were: Connor Downing defeated Zak Danz, 6-2, 6-4; Jackson Trevor defeated Lizzie Williamson, 6-2, 6-3; Victoria Scott defeated Kyle Johnson, 6-2, 6-4; and Kelly Klaren defeated John Wolfe, 6-0, 6-3.
