The Legends won the Oak Bluffs Mens Summer League title, defeating the Money Team, 74-63. The Legends were hot from beyond the arc in the Title game and that was the difference.

Legends Asil Cash and Bobby Kujick powered a 3-point spree, giving the Legends an early lead. Jade Cash and Nick Viera did their damage taking the ball to the basket and drawing fouls, while John Macy did a great job defensively on van Gervan and grabbed a bushel of rebounds.

Steve Handy was the leading scorer for the Money Team in defeat with 21 points. This was the Money Team’s only loss of the season, which included a win over a team with a surprise substitute, NBA player Glen “Big Baby” Davis, formerly with the Celtics now with the Clippers.

Both teams were strong all year and had two close battles during the regular season. The Money Team included: Steve Handy, Shane Schofield, TJ van Gervan, Ben Ciciora, and Matt Birtwell. The victorious Legends team included: John Macy, Keeland Gomes, Bobby Kujick, Asil Cash, Nick Viera, Jade Cash, Asa Ray, and Sterling Bishop.
