Chilmark School.

Chilmark School is clean and ready for our new and returning students. We have had roof work completed, and floors and rugs spruced up. We are starting the year with a new reading teacher and a new music teacher. Also new this year, we will have two 4/5 classes due to the number of students in our fourth and fifth grades.

In fact, our school is growing. This year we will be starting the year with 64 students, which is certainly the most students here since I arrived five years ago. We are looking forward to an exciting year starting with our 4/5 students leaving on September 8 on the annual Alabama sail for the week, where they will be completing their first week of studies, including units on wind, currents, and water.
