Suggestions made so far for some improvements at Owen Park reminded me of the annoying problems I encountered this summer. The mindless decision to dig up most of the Owen Park parking lot for the summer months made this a most unwelcoming place. Parking near the beach was eliminated, including the handicap spot, where the DPW truck parked.
On Tuesday at 7 pm, welcome Arnie Reisman, the Island’s new Poet Laureate. He is an award-winning writer and performer whose work has appeared on television, radio, and stage. Sponsored by the library, the event will be at the Cornell Theatre.
The Thrift Shop has a collection of class photos for sale. They came from the Luce House, so they are probably Tisbury School class pictures. Is your relative in that picture?
