The M.V. 12/13 year-old Fall Ball baseball team improved to 8-0 with victories over Sandwich, 9-4, and Gateway Black, 17-6, on Sunday in Rochester. After falling behind 2-0 in game one, the Vineyard scored 5 in the second inning to take the lead for good. Owen Bresnik and Mike Habekost pitched for the Vineyard. In game two, the Vineyard came out swinging the bats, scoring 11 runs after two innings, and they never looked back. The pitching combination of Harold Lawry, Peter Burke, and Jeremy Regan kept the Gateway team from getting anything started. Offensively, Cam Moore lead the Vineyard with three hits.
