The Martha’s Vineyard Rod and Gun Club will host a pistol competition from 10 am to 2 pm this Saturday, October 18, on the club grounds overlooking Sengekontacket Pond off Third Street in Edgartown. Members and non-members of all skill levels are welcome and will fire 35 rounds at ranges from 7 to 45 feet from standing and kneeling positions while timed. There are two categories to enter, centerfire and rimfire, and open sights must be used. The fee is $10 per round and shooters may enter as many times as they wish.
