The opening night of the Mixed Doubles Bonanza at the Vineyard Tennis Center on November 7 had players swinging.
Todd and Marilda Hollister continued to hold on in the second week of the event, November 14, with a three-set win over Kye Howell and Sue Garrett. Their steadier play gave them the advantage in the long rallies. The Hollisters prevailed, 6-1, 6-7, 6-2.
Roger and Sharon Spinney won by default over Irina Gerhard and Charles Shipway. Both teams have posted one win to date in the competition.
The season just got started and Vineyard Tennis Center will be having matches throughout the winter, with playoffs in March.
