At the Edgartown Bridge Club on Monday, November 17, nine pairs competed. Finishing first overall were Bea Phear and Sue Collinson, followed by Mollie Whalen and Joe Ashcroft in second, Molly Mattoon and Judy Cronig in third, and Art Spielvogel and Norma Da Silva in fourth.
At the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club on Tuesday November 18, 10 pairs competed in a club championship game. Finishing in first place were Bea Phear and Simmy Denhart, followed by Dave Donald and Michel Riel in second, Joe Ashcroft and Mollie Whalen in third, and Gail Farrish and Warren Morse in fourth.
At the Island Bridge Club in West Tisbury on Thursday November 20, nine pairs competed. First place went to Dave Donald and Rich Colter, followed by Mollie Whalen and Joe Ashcroft in second, Barbara Besse and Carol Whitmarsh in third, and Dan and Nancy Cabot in fourth.
