This Sunday, December 21, at 1 pm, The Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation will offer a free guided walk at Pocketapaces, a property near the Edgartown Great Pond. “We want people to have an opportunity to see and learn about this beautiful property,” Adam Moore, executive director of the nonprofit organization, said in a press release. Guides will discuss the natural history of the property, including unique land features such as frost bottoms and fens, and the area’s prescribed burn program. The walk will last one and a half to two hours, and walkers should bring water and appropriate footwear, snow or shine. No reservations are required.
