To the Editor:
ACE MV (Adult and Community Education of Martha’s Vineyard), the Island’s non-profit providing post-secondary career development and lifelong learning courses, wants to say “thank you” to the many supporters who have made donations to the first annual appeal effort. We are on our way to reaching a $45,000 fundraising goal.
There is much about ACE MV that is new: this annual appeal, the executive director and the board of directors president, as well as two new board members. Nearly 1,000 learners of all ages enroll in over 100 ACE MV classes and events annually and new courses are offered each year.
The annual appeal letter includes a new “I love to Learn” bumper sticker that we hope Islanders will soon be showing off on their cars and trucks. Most importantly this appeal to hundreds of Islanders (summer and year-round) will serve to remind the letter’s recipients of the wide variety of learning experiences that ACE MV offers.
Annual appeal donors are helping ACE MV make the learning we all love available, accessible and affordable.
