Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Martha’s Vineyard Museum celebrates the opening of a new exhibit, “Victorian Secrets: Hidden Garments of the 19th Century.” The exhibit explores the often-overlooked pieces of everyday clothing worn during this dynamic century, along with their changing roles, from cleanliness and conformity to creating allure. “Victorian Secrets” will open on Friday, Feb. 13, with a reception from 5 pm to 7 pm in the Museum Galleries. Admission is free to members, and $7 for nonmembers. The exhibit will be open through May 25.
