Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School sophomore Finn Simpkins has qualified for the U16 Junior Eastern Ski Racing Championships, which will be held at Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid, N.Y., March 16–20. He will be competing in the slalom, giant slalom and super giant slalom. The sixteen-year-old Simpkins began skiing when he was two years old and first participated in a competition when he was eight.
