Williams College sophomore and former Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School standout Jack Roberts of Vineyard Haven has been chosen as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for play ending March 29, according to a press release.

Jack, a shortstop, batted .481 with a .516 on-base percentage and a .667 slugging percentage over a 5-2 week for the Ephs, driving in 10 runs and scoring 10 runs, and stealing three bases without getting caught. In the three-game Middlebury series that Williams swept, Jack was 8-for-11 (.727 BA) with five RBI, seven runs scored, and two stolen bases.

On Tuesday afternoon, March 31 the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) named Jack and Nick Sedia of Albertus Magnus College, senior, INF/P, Bronx, N.Y., co-New England Players of the Week.

Jack was a four-sport standout in his senior year. Following graduation in 2013, he accepted an offer of a Sharks roster spot for the 2013 Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) season.
