An unsung hero

To the Editor:

I am writing on behalf of Woody Filley, the IT director of the Martha’s Vineyard Public Schools.

The unsung movers and shakers of many organizations are the techie geniuses of our Island. Woody Filley is one of the greatest visionaries we have on Island. As an engineer, teacher, and philosopher of technology, he envisioned the future of education on Martha’s Vineyard far before the rest of us. Woody’s ability as a designer and teacher is unparalleled in most industries. His work will be the foundation of all intranet success on our Island.

He is our guru of Martha’s Vineyard connectivity.

In his retirement from the Martha’s Vineyard Public School system, we hope, he will remain an Island resource.
