To the Editor:

I was just on Martha’s Vineyard, and the level of service at most stores was down because these kids don’t speak English or aren’t trained. At one store, I returned a shirt and no one knew how to process the exchange. Four students watched while the manager did it, and then he ran around following up after their mistakes. U.S. lawmakers and President Obama need to give our kids a chance, rather than pay these poor Eastern bloc students $2 an hour.

It’s shame he did this, and the Martha’s Vineyard experience isn’t the same.
