Jesse James Sylvia of West Tisbury and Todd Rebello of Oak Bluffs are currently playing in the 2015 World Series of Poker (WSOP) held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Todd Rebello has won in 46 games and has six career titles. West Tisbury’s Jesse Sylvia has 27 career cash wins and came in second place in the 2012 WSOP Main Event, earning over $5 million.
Both look to make big money in the $10,000 no-limit Texas Hold ’Em tournament, known to many as “the Big Event.” The tournament began on July 5 and lasts through July 14, with the final nine players starting the final table on Nov 8. As of press time, both Islanders were still in alive in Vegas.
