To the Editor:
Every year I am absolutely amazed and so happy to see you all standing on the stairs in a long line to get it. I find it amazing to see the same great faces year after year, and equally wonderful to see new ones. Sometimes I just can’t believe it. Every summer morning (and all winter too), there’s a line before I even turn the key to start the day at Mocha Mott’s.
I just want you all to know your patronage is both humbling and appreciated — truly.
I promise you we are always trying our hardest to get you what you want, make it good, and get you on your way ASAP. We mess up sometimes for sure, and some customers mess up too; after all, some of you are awaiting the caffeine so you can function better.
Thank you for your patience, which for all of us battling through August can sometimes be hard to muster. I’ve been working here for 16 years or so, and I’ve seen those I once saw as babies now coming in on their own ordering for their parents. It’s corny to say perhaps, but true: It’s pretty wonderful and great to see you all coming back again and again. Thank you from Scotty and crew at Mocha Mott’s. All of us are a wee bit crazy, and we hope your summer rocks.
