To the Editor:
This has been a summer of my witnessing or finding the results of people behaving badly and breaking the law (both residents and seasonal visitors). I have had to call the following Edgartown offices for assistance: building inspector, conservation commission, shellfish department, and harbormaster.
A great big thank-you and pat on the back to all of you for not only doing your jobs well but courteously, promptly, and effectively.
It is a privilege and a responsibility to live in this place of amazing beauty. Let us each make the effort to coexist with our neighbors and the natural world around us.
