The annual Best Fest returns for its sixth year, with another evening of musical entertainment and community activities in Oak Bluffs. The event kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 5 pm with live music at the Ocean Park Bandstand, featuring Kahoots, the Pickpocket Bluegrass Band, and the Maniacs of the Heart. The Extraordinary Rendition Band will then lead a lively parade down Circuit Avenue from 8 to 9 pm, followed by a concert at the newly renovated historic Strand Theater from 9 pm to 1 am with the music of the Space Invaders, the Hammerheads, and Electric Pie. Donations will be accepted at Ocean Park, and tickets to the concert at the Strand are $11. The event benefits WVVY, Martha’s Vineyard community radio.
