On Sunday morning, the Martha’s Vineyard Harley Riders met at the P.A. Club and roared off down the streets of Oak Bluffs for the 27th annual Red Stocking Fund Run. Twenty-one bikes with 33 riders, Santa hats and beards flapping, rode happily around the Island to collect toys and support the event.
The caravan departed the P.A. Club at 11 am and made several stops around the Island, including in Menemsha, before heading back to the club for lunch. They presented a check for $13,598, which represented months of fundraising, to Red Stocking fund chairwomen Leslie Frizzell and Susie Wallo. In addition to the check, there were lots of toys, including nine bicycles.
