To the Editor:
Regarding your editorial of Nov. 12 (“A more natural view”), in which you discuss the removal of dams not only in West Tisbury but all over our country, I am so glad that you ended with the optimistic statement that the story of the possible removal of the Mill Pond dam in West Tisbury can have a happy ending.
Even though it will be a considerable loss to us to have that sweet view of our Mill Pond taken from us, nevertheless, we do know that nature is so powerful that it can create a beauty which surpasses, in your words, “anything fashioned by man.”
