Every Saturday and Sunday morning in February, Island Alpaca will offer their Alpaca Discovery Class to Island residents free of charge. Normally the program costs $25 per person. Visitors will meet the entire herd, including three cria (baby alpaca), and participate in barn chores, feeding, and walking the alpaca. Classes begin at 9:30 am and go until 11 am. Participants younger than 10 years of age should come with an attending parent/guardian. Space is limited, and preregistration is required.
