MV United U14 Boys 1, Sandwich 1

The boys traveled to Sandwich on Saturday to battle an always-tough Sandwich team. Sandwich struck first early in the first half. They were awarded a penalty kick after a foul call in the box. MV goalie Noah Garcia made the stop, but Sandwich knocked in the rebound for a 1-0 lead. The Vineyard started to hit their stride, with many scoring opportunities but nothing to show for it, until JoJo Bonneau hit Tim Wallis with a great feed and Tim banged it home to tie the game at 1. After the half, MV came out firing, but again couldn’t find the back of the net. They left the field having played a great second half, but finished with a 1-1 draw.
