The Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School baseball team begins playoff action this Thursday afternoon with a home game against Bourne at 3:15 pm. Assistant Coach David Smith is hoping fans will turn out to support the team, now ranked 7 out of 17.

Coach Smith said this will be the first home playoff game for MV baseball in 13 years — the last one was in 2003.

Last Thursday, Martha’s Vineyard lost to Norton 2-1, suffering its fifth one-run loss of its eight losses in an away game. The team finished its regular season at 12-8.
