The Hob Knob Inn in Edgartown has introduced a series of afternoon talks and presentations for the benefit of their guests. The initiative is appropriately called “The Art of Hob Knobbing,” and will feature artists and artisans discussing their craft in an informal setting during the Inn’s traditional teatime. While guests enjoy lemonade, tea, and snacks, the featured artist will give a short talk, answer questions, and mingle with guests. The first Hob Knobbing event featured Yann Meerseman of Vineyard Colors photography, whose work is displayed prominently on the Inn’s spa level. Future speakers will include photographer L.A. Brown, artists Andrew Moore and Mary Sipp Green, various Island jewelers, and the purveyors of Martha’s Vineyard Sea Salt and New Lane Sundries, among others. Artists and artisans interested in participating can call the Hob Knob at 508-627-9510.
