There will be an all-Island training session on inclusion on Monday, June 20, from 9 am to 4 pm at the Edgartown library, presented by Kids Included Together (KIT). Lunch will be provided.
The presentation is sponsored by the Island Wide Youth Collaborative (IWYC) and the Family Support Center of Martha’s Vineyard Community Services (MVCS). According to a press release, both organizations recognize that successful inclusion involves training and support. They are committed to providing opportunities for organizations to increase skills and capacities of being inclusive, welcoming all community members in their programs.
Kids Included Together (KIT) specializes in providing best-practices training for community-based organizations committed to including children with and without disabilities into their recreational, child development, and youth development programs.
