Mass Audubon’s annualPicture This: Your Great Outdoors” photo contest is now underway. Hundreds of participants are expected to submit their best shots of the Bay State’s natural beauty and wildlife diversity. Each year, the contest attracts shutterbugs of all ages and backgrounds to capture the birds, animals, and people of New England’s beautiful outdoors. Until Sept. 30, participants can submit up to 10 entries among several categories: People in Nature, Birds, Mammals, and Other Animals, as well as a single category for Landscapes, Plants, and Fungi. The grand prize winner is awarded a $250 gift card to be redeemed at any Mass Audubon shop or wildlife sanctuary. They will also have their winning photograph featured in Mass Audubon’s member newsletter. Additionally, nine winners will receive $100 gift cards, and six honorable mentions will be awarded $50 gift cards. At the discretion of the judges, additional honorable mentions may be selected. Participants are grouped 18-and-over or under-18, and all images must be submitted online. For more information, visit massaudubon.org/picturethis.
