Vineyard Youth Tennis held its annual Top Gun program on Monday night, with the Island’s top juniors competing against one another. Match results are as follows: Aidan Harris defeated Zak Danz, 6-1, 6-0; Tatiana Ziff defeated Max Potter, 6-4, 6-1; Lizzie Williamson defeated Molly Pogue, 6-0, 6-2; and Ethan Wilder defeated Spencer Pogue, 6-2, 6-4. Matches begin every Monday at 4:30 pm.
The deadline for the VYT Classic is this Sunday, July 17, at midnight. The USTA event is for boys and girls ages 12 to 14 under singles and level 7, meaning the event is appropriate for more entry-level players. For more information, call 508-693-5322.
