The Martha’s Vineyard Hurricanes, the Island’s youth running club, will hold a series of one-hour running events on Friday, July 29, at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School track, and on Friday, August 12, at the West Tisbury School parking lot, at 4 pm. Open to kids grades 4 through 9, the events will consist of warmup games, followed by competitive “stick runs” on a 1.5-mile course. All experience levels are welcome. Prizes will be given for first, second, and third place. A $5 donation per run is suggested.
