To the Editor:
The members of African American Vineyard Artists would like to thank our hosts, the Portuguese-American Club, and the town of Oak Bluffs, the AKAs, the Links, the Deltas, the Cottagers, the Oak Bluffs Polar Bears, and all of the Vineyard community that attended and/or assisted in making our premier AAVA art exhibition — the first group exhibition of Island African American artists — a rousing success. It was extremely well attended, and the spirit of the love of art and sharing of community overflowed. We are looking forward with great anticipation to our 2017 exhibition. Thanks to all for your support.
