Willoughby Gallery closes its doors

After 23 years in business, Willoughby Fine Art Gallery will close its doors at the end of this month. The gallery, located in a historic Preservation Trust house in downtown Edgartown, represents nationally and internationally recognized fine artists from around the country. Owner Rick Willoughby will retire from the gallery business to focus on his own work as a painter. “We’re offering the biggest discounts we’ve had since we’ve been in business,” he said. The gallery has no set hours at this time, but Mr. Willoughby notes that he is onsite most days undertaking the huge task of closing up shop after two decades.
